Diagnostic Kit BRP All 4-TEC / E-TEC + Megstech 10-Year License for B.U.D.S. (optional configuration)
is a professional diagnostic solution designed for servicing and troubleshooting all BRP electronic control systems.

The kit can be used for diagnostics of the complete BRP vehicle lineup, including:

  • Sea-Doo personal watercraft and sport boats

  • Ski-Doo and Lynx snowmobiles

  • Can-Am vehicles (ATV, SSV and Roadster Spyder)

Diagnostic Kit Includes

  • MPI-3 Interface (BRP p/n 529036353) – communication unit used for diagnostics of all BRP vehicles.
    (Cable color may vary.)

  • Diagnostic Cable (BRP p/n 710000851) – required for connection of the MPI-3 interface to 4-TEC and E-TEC vehicles.
    (Cable color may vary.)

  • Megstech 10-Year License for B.U.D.S. software

  • (Optional) Latest B.U.D.S.2 software with MECHATRONIC EXPERT or DEALER TECHNICIAN license
    (BUDS2 supports BRP vehicles from model year 2017 and newer)

Important Notes on Optional Interfaces

BRP strongly recommends using the power interface and power supply cables when performing software updates via BUDS2, especially for Sea-Doo models from 2016 and newer, to ensure stable voltage during programming procedures.

Software Compatibility

The diagnostic kit operates with both:

  • B.U.D.S. (BRP Utility and Diagnostic Software)

  • B.U.D.S.2 (next-generation diagnostic platform)

B.U.D.S. is a comprehensive multi-language diagnostic software environment that provides deep access to BRP electronic control modules, allowing technicians to monitor parameters, perform system tests and execute service procedures.

Available License Types

Different license configurations allow diagnostics for specific BRP vehicle categories:

  • All Dealers – combined package for Ski-Doo, Roadster, PWC, Sport Boats, ATV and SSV

  • All Can-Am – combined license pack for ATV, SSV and Roadster Spyder

MECHATRONIC EXPERT License

MECHATRONIC EXPERT is a special license issued by the B.U.D.S. software developers.
This license is not available to official BRP dealers or distributors.

It is intended for advanced electronic control unit configuration, including:

  • extended module parameter configuration

  • clearing module history and stored service information

  • recovery procedures after incorrect firmware updates

The MECHATRONIC EXPERT license supports the full BRP vehicle range, including:

  • Sea-Doo

  • Can-Am

  • Ski-Doo

  • Roadster Spyder
