Overview

This manual explains how to perform an Over-the-Air (OTA) software update for the BRP 10.25" Color Touchscreen Display using a Wi-Fi internet connection.

The procedure applies to BRP vehicles equipped with the 10.25" touchscreen display including Ski-Doo, Can-Am and other supported platforms.

The guide includes:

BRP 10.25" Touchscreen Display OTA Software Update Guide

The BRP 10.25" Color Touchscreen Display supports Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates using a Wi-Fi internet connection. This allows owners to install the latest BRP Connect software updates directly from the vehicle display.

Supported Vehicles

This procedure applies to all BRP vehicles equipped with the 10.25" Color Touchscreen Display, including selected Ski-Doo and Can-Am models.

Important Notes Before Updating

  • Never perform software updates while driving the vehicle.
  • Make sure the vehicle battery is fully charged.
  • Using a battery charger during the update process is highly recommended.
  • The display must remain powered during the entire installation process.

Ski-Doo MY23 Special Instructions

For 2023 Ski-Doo models, the engine must remain running during the first update process. Occasionally press the throttle to prevent the display from entering standby mode.

Ski-Doo MY24 Instructions

For 2024 Ski-Doo models and newer, the engine can remain OFF, but the display must stay ON during the update.

Step 1 — Connect to Wi-Fi

  1. Open the main applet menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Select Wi-Fi.
  4. Choose Add New Network.
  5. Select your wireless network.
  6. Enter the Wi-Fi password.

If no Wi-Fi network is available, you can use a smartphone hotspot connection.

Step 2 — Download the Software Update

  1. Open General settings.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Choose the available update.
  4. Press Download Update.

Step 3 — Install the Update

  1. After the download is completed, press Install Update.
  2. The installation process may take 10–20 minutes depending on internet speed.
  3. The display will automatically reboot after installation.

Additional Information

OTA display software updates are also available through BUDS and BUDS2 service software platforms.
